It'll probably be some shadowy rogue-ish type of race. There's enough "noble" classes on Alliance, I imagine they'll add something a little darker.

I'm pretty sure the new race is going to be Pandaerions. Not only it's been a rumor lately, but in Stormwind, some NPCs say things such as, "I swear Pandaerions are real! I've seen them before!"

I sure as hell hope not.  If they make the Alliance take in a race that's a animal (Horde = Cow), I'll be angry.

Blizzard has yet to confirm or deny these rumors Blizzard directly, however this rumor was debunked by GameSpy (The Lore of World of Warcraft, page 2) (http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/world-of-warcraft-expansion/662576p2.html) as well as Gaming Steve. According to both them, Pandaren will NOT be a playable race in the Burning Crusade.

I never really wanted to play as an animal frist off. "Thats why horde is the gayness, MOOOO" I wish that blizzard does something cool like a dark elf figure like what Scr33n0r said. But metal does make a good point becuase the NPC are making alot of fuss over the pandaerions. Anyways I like the blood elfs most of all. My favorite and probally best over all Hero for tft was the blood mage. I want so badly to make a blood elf mage and just make it pwn in mc. IDK what server yet.

There are too many possibilities.  I've heard a lot of people suggest it'll be the Draenei, though.
