What type of class layout do you have?

Back in my day (heh) the semester began when school began & ended before Christmas break.  What kind of asshat makes you go on break & then come back to take finals 2 weeks later?

I study for other finals after a final.

I have CS 110 (basically same class you're tlakin about Joe)...it sucks so I'm gonna do it online instead I think

CS 110 is which class, the M$ Office class, or programming? The former sucked, the latter did not.

We do Word, Excel, FrontPage, Visual Basic & a few other misc things.

Maybe in public schools... If you ask me, it's not that big of a deal, though.  I really think anyone can pass any highschool-level math course if they try hard enough.

In some private schools, they start teaching Calculus in 5th grade.  Relative to even the nation, you're probably around 70%.  There are a lot of mathematicly based smart people.

And by the way, 95% was just based on the number of sophmores that are in the math level of newby, which can't be much more than about 20 kids

That's around there.  There are private schools all over the place that don't have any foundation formed on religion of any sort.  Again -- you're basing the 95% on a class in a public school in California.  Last time I checked, California doesn't do so hot in education (not saying you guys have bad schools, just saying that you have a lot of idiots there and that makes for less effort on school districts' and teachers' parts to increase the mathematics curriculum).  I've met several individuals who were enrolled in Calculus III as a Junior in high school.  That means they were taking Calculus as a Freshman, obviously.  Frankly, I don't even find that very impressive.  Until this year I probably would have, but I've discovered math is all pretty easy if you actually care about it.  Calculus is easy, if you ask me.

I am by no means saying Newby's stupid; I'm simply stating that him taking a higher level math class doesn't impress me too much.  I'm glad he's decided to at least try to apply himself.  That, at least, is good.  High school math is all easy, though...

And to name a specific non-Christian private school, the one aforementioned (literally starting to teach Calculus in the 5th grade) is located in Pennsylvania, if I remember correctly.

Ah, to live somewhere besides California. IMO the main problem with this state is that they set education standards way too low, and it is too late to raise them, which in turn creates ignorance and a new generation to do nothing for the state.

I understand what you are saying, if I were to be put in a school on the east coast, I'd be very far behind in math, probobly not even at a high school level. (Alg 2 = 8th grade in most of West Virginia) On the other hand, if I were raised on the East Coast, I'd be doing fine at a higher level of math. I don't like California, or this nations independant schooling system.

Apparently Juniors too, since I rock their socks.

What was your overall score? My fucking sucked. My math sucked hardcore, I'm only better than 51% of juniors. Of course everybody knows I suck+++ at math anyway, but I took my PSAT without a calculator. That sucked.

I took my PSAT without a calculator and got better than 92% of juniors. Overall was only better than 86% though because I suck at the stupid english parts.

Haha, yeah.  Most kids that are taking "super advanced" math (Calculus 3) in high school have to take the courses at a college or online.
