what is dshield Geographic Port Probe Distribution?

It's the geographic distribution of port probes.  Duh! 

There is a large network of honey-pot type machines that do nothing but listen for connection attempts and record the ip/geographical region/port.  Using that, they can make graphs of which ports are being attacked by which regions.  This shows, for example, which region has the highest number of Slammer infections (China), Sasser infections (China), etc. 

I don't think the list I used to get were from dshield, but I'm guessing it's basically the same thing.
