You didn't break it, it's a feature for things not to work out of the box with Linux.
Stop being such a pigheaded moron.

Closed, it's fixed.

Why because I posted the truth? Hey if everyone else (including iago) can make stupid sarcastic remarks against an OS I can too.

Additionally, even after you "got it fixed" you're still recieving help on this topic (even if seems to be something else) which just proves my point even further. Whatever if complication makes you feel manly along with racist remarks that's alright. Stay safe.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

I don't think that deadly being an Indian had anything to do with this. As much as I hate to say this to an x86 member on their own forum, that was out of line.

Actually, I'm new to Linux.  That's the reason this thread is still open.  Also, if you're not going to PROVIDE HELP WHEN SOMEONE ASKS FOR IT, shut the FUCK UP and GET THE FUCK OUT of my topic.  Seriously.

I got the updating fixed, it's not my fault I don't understand programming and thus am not going to edit a file.  Why don't you unlearn all your programming knowledge and then edit C:\Windows\system32\wininet.dll for example.

So you agree it isn't strange for Linux to not work out of the box? Then why are you getting mad?

Since you're too pigheaded to realize this, let me come right out and tell you:
My Linux is not out of the box.  I've had the same install for a few months now, since before Christmas.  I used a 3rd party program without knowing how Linux updates.

Alright since you obviously have some sort of problem:

You broke slackware, asked here to fix it. Fine.
I post here and say it isn't uncommon for linux not to work out of the box (Meaning either right after an install or it's inability to revert to an earlier configuration in case of an error -- my point being you can break anything in Linux if you shake it slightly)

Get it now? Want a powerpoint?

A little tip, since you've obviously entered this argument ill-equipped and unprepared: Slackware doesn't ship with slapt-get.

You're right, Warrior.  You have won.  You haven't won this argument, though.  You've won the following awards:

  The "Stubborn Dolt Head" Award
The "I'm Such an Idiot I Suck" Award
The "Holy Crap, My Head is Up My Ass" Award
The "I'm as Blind as Ray Charles" Award

Congradulations!

Warrior, I'm going to say this in the nicest way I can: shut the fuck up and go away.  I can't think of anything nicer.

The problem was that he was using a third party program which installed software that was at the wrong version.  Are you saying that it's impossible to have the wrong version on your precious Windows?  You are a dolt.  Go away.
