Dutch Bandits Blowing Up ATMs
« on: March 11, 2006, 12:50:07 pm »
I don't want to post too much news, but this is just damn funny if you ask me:

Quote
In the Netherlands, criminals are stealing money from ATM machines by blowing them up.

First, they drill a hole in an ATM and fill it with some sort of gas. Then, they ignite the gas -- from a safe distance -- and clean up the money that flies all over the place after the ATM explodes.

Sounds crazy, but apparently there has been an increase in this type of attack recently. The banks' countermeasure is to install air vents so that gas can't build up inside the ATMs.

That's a good countermeasure.  Personally, I'd just stick two armed marines by every ATM! :)

Hahaha. This reminds me of why my uncle is wanted in the state of Ohio.

Him and his buddies used to work for this arcade back when they were ~17, and kids would stick in dollars for quarters. Apparently, the arcade did a lot of good business.

One night, they tied the ATM to a truck on the bed of it, and drove out of the store with it. About a few miles away on this deserted road, they pushed it OFF the moving truck (going 80mph or so) and about a thousand of quarters shot out everywhere. You'd figure they'd steal it when it was empty of quarters, so they could collect the dollars... but no... this is my uncle's family. He's wanted in Ohio, another Uncle pushed a teacher out of a 2nd story window at school... :P

In total, they collected $250 or so. For 4 people.

They're now wanted in the state of Ohio and cannot return. :)

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

The Netherlands are doing really bad economy right now so I'd suppose the people are getting desperate for money.

P.S: iago, didn't you say something about posting too much news? :P

You shouldn't remember and or have to recall, becauseI wasn't talking to you.

I posted a few news threads, and in a previous discussion in one of those threads, I got this response from iago:

There's nothing wrong with posting a few news stories.  As long as you aren't posting like 10/day.

Now stop being a trouble maker and go away Sidoh! :P

They're public forums.  Expect those other than the person you're talking to directly to see what you're posting.  If you don't want replies to any of your posts, don't post them on the forums.

Yes, yes.  That's blatantly obvious.  You're stupid.

Now stop being a trouble maker and go away Sidoh! :P

Coming from you, that's a really low blow.  I'm not any sort of trouble maker compared to you.

No, it's not, not from what I have heard. I would like to see sources.

I checked and GameSnake did indeed delete a post from this topic.  To quote myself:

I now allow group "Official x86 Member" to moderate the general forum.  Don't abuse it, or I'll take it away.

So I have removed the ability for the x86 group to moderate this forum.  If you would like to be a moderator anyways, talk to a leader.

Topaz flamed yet again when alls I asked was for some sources. I was just sick of him always doing that. I didn't warrant a rude comment. Give everyone thier moderation back, take mine away its more fair that way.
