I had a bit of an interesting day/evening, so let me recap. The highpoints are the "penis game" and falling off my bike 4 times on the way home (mostly intentionally).
I woke up, read the forums, all that stuff. Nothing exciting. Went shopping, bought stuff for tacos today and ribs tomorrow.
For lunch, I made tacos for me and my family. I used too much spice so they were super-spicy. But that was ok.
Then I made some barbecue-spare-ribs for tomorrow. I made the sauce (barbecue sauce + molassis + vinegar + soya sauce + salt + pepper + brown sugar) (loosely based on a recipe). We're going to cook them tomorrow in the new slow-cooker, but it takes 10 hours and damned if I'm getting up at 8am to make sauce.
Then I took my bike to my friend's. Nothing exciting, I ran into a snowbank in his yard for fun. From there, we went to a social. For those of you who don't live in Winnipeg, a social is kind of a big party/fundraiser that everybody here has before getting married.
We pretty much spent the entire evening eating the chips they have on the tables. Eventually they put out "social food", which is bread and pickles and sandwich meat and ham and cheese and stuff. I ate a ton of ham, pickles, and cheese. I also drank about 50 glasses of Ginger Ale, and my friends drank beer (I was driving).
Now for the importnat part. Throughout the night, we played the "penis game". What you do is, you say "penis". The the next person says it louder, and the next person says it louder, and so on. It's the stupidest game ever, but it's surprisingly fun. My friend who was drinking kicked my ass.
Then when we were leaving, I pushed him into a huge snowbank. Then when we got to his house, my other friend pushed him towards a snowbank. He didn't even fall! So I pushed him good and hard and he went right into the snow on his ass. Then I went to go home (on my bike) and figured i'd try geting over a snowbank. I fell in the snow about 3 times off my bike, then gave up. On my way home, I hit a patch of ice and wiped out in the middle of an intersection, but good. There were no cars, though, so it was pretty fun.
Well, that's my exciting day.
