I know, I know, it's been out for like ever, but it's still good.
I can't get enough of this game. The world is simply stunning; the story is entertaing; and if you have tribunal you get people trying to kill you in your sleep (It's sweet because then you can take their armor and sell it for lots of money).
The various sidequests are also fun. Of course they are usually the go kill this guy, fetch this, deliver this item, etc,. but the open-endedness to each quest never ceases to amaze me.
Also, levelling up in Morrowind is much better than most other RPG's in my opinion. Rather than getting a certain amount of experience from killing a critter or NPC, you gain experience by using various skills. If you want to be a thief, you can gain levels through practicing your thievery and what not. If you want to be a mage, you gain levels by using your magic. The possibilities are endless as you can choose from a list of classes or even create your own
