For my birthday...
« on: April 01, 2006, 04:43:56 am »
.. my friend got me a 4-pack of EA Games games.  Black&White Deluxe, Medal of Honor, Lord of the Rings, and Freedom Fighters.  I'm not entirely sure why he did, though, I'm pretty sure that he knows that a) I don't play games very often, and b) I don't use Windows.  *grumbles*

I wonder how well these run under Wine/Cedaga... :-/

Pfft, those are perfectly good reasons to give them to you.

It's obviously a very thoughtless present, you should for his birthday give *him* a wrapped box containing dog crap.  :)

Edit:

Changed "me" to "*him*".  Thanks Trust!  :)

Well, I was reading up, and at least two of them run perfectly, allegedly.

Black & White is worth running Windows for.  Very fun ^^
Nothing is worth running Windows for.

Well, I gave him nothing, so I suppose I deserve what I got :P

I'll take the Lord of the Rings game if you don't want it. :)

Well, they won't run under wine due to copy protection.  However, Medal of Honor ran perfectly 100% under Cedega.  I have yet to try the others, but I would bet that they run great too.  And I've finally lowered myself to installing cedege :-o

ON A MORE IMPORTANT NOTE DID YOU GET MY PRESENT?
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

You take a long time mailing things to me iago.  That's a bad trait.  You should fix it.  You never know, your next job application might ask "Have you helped out any Indians in the past decade?"  You could answer truthfully "Yes, I sent Lord of the Rings to my Indian friend in Minnesota."
