Speaking of property value rising - we bought our house for ~$180,000 two years ago, it's now worth close to $400,000 with minor things added.

yeah we bought our house for $400,000 a couple years ago now it is worth close to a million

You think that's a good deal?  My grandmother bought her house in Somers Point (near Ocean City) in the 60's for about $8,000.  Her lot is currently worth around $950,000.  It's rediculous.

Real Estate is crazy in Las Vegas as well. When i was living there, Houses that I saw going up were selling for close to 100,000. Now I heard some of the Property Value on these house "Take note these houses are close to the Las Vegas Strip about 1 mile south of the Luxor" are close to 2.5 million with little to no remodeling/construction done to the property.
