I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

No.  Apple makes excelent computers.  Personally, I don't like their Operating System, which is one reason I don't want to use them.  I'd still much rather have a PC for my purposes, but Apples definitely don't "suxorz." ;P

Those are silly reasons.  Despite Apple's obvious attempts at appearance, a computer is designed to be functional, not to be a pretty desk ornament.

So use a fucking USB mouse that you can buy at the store for like $15.

If I didn't want a tablet, my next notebook would definitely be an Intel Core Duo Mac.
I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

Running with Code has a new home!

One of my problems with Macs is that they are so much harder to customize and upgrade than PCs.  Everything is shut away and practically deadbolted to the frame.  I also don't like how closed the system is compare to Windows or Linux.  I much prefer Windows simply for gaming, but I'm enjoying my Slack box.

By the time one component needs upgraded, it's pretty likely the whole machine needs upgraded (if you buy a good computer to begin with).  This isn't universally true, but it's a pretty good model.  I agree that is a definite downside, but that same fact also provides a good aspect of the mac: inherent compatibility.

If you ever go into work with graphic or audio editing, I'm nearly positive you will.  Like I said, Macs have their purpose.  For at least the two things I just listed, they are noticeably superior to the PC.

Here's a helpful hint: don't judge what you don't understand. :)

I don't understand how sidoh couldve used a apple IIe, and be the first computer he used.
Apple 2 required some programming knowledge in order to use, and it came out in 1983.

Blah, I wouldn't agree. Linux and Windows are probably more popular for home use, but a ton of schools use macs.

I have parents who helped me learn, nubcake.  I'm pretty sure you have a brain.  Use it.

In any case, it wasn't an Apple IIe.  It was an Apple II GS.  I thought it was Apple IIe because there's a graveyard of them at my school.  The name was much more prominent in my mind.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_iigs

After seeing the picture, I'm nearly positive that was it.

Not really.  Without AltiVec, Macs have no real advantage over PCs, and you can have the same specs on PCs that you can Macs.

.. you are really, really good at annoying me.

As I've stated, inherent compatability is definitely an advantage.  Also, if that's all that is keeping PC's from surpassing Macs in every realm, why the fuck don't they implement it?

Because IBM developed the processors that used AltiVec, and they were never up to speed with the processors used on the x86 architecture.  That and the x86 architecture doesn't allow for that extra cycle that carries that information.

Too bad IBM failed, huh?  They failed for a reason.

If that was the only reason Macs had any superiority, they would have at least released a model that provided the same supremacy on said processes.
