I hope those two assholes end up in jail forever. That is not funny whatsoever, and I hope they get their balls cut off.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Someone should induce a heart attack to their mothers and then ignore them when they call 911!
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

Speaking of pranks, I think that instead of the dispatchers, everybody who makes a phoney call to 911 should be thrown in jail.

Agreed.  Doing something like that is extremely stupid... not to mention pointless.

Yeah.  These situations are pretty tough to deal with, I must admit.  It's like school bomb threats.  Even if you're 99% sure it's a prank, someone of authority should always evacuate the threatened area.

dude who would think to prank call the police.
if i was the dispatcher i would get the # that just prank called and get
patrol car to track the person down and put him/her into jail for a night

btw i would never do such a stupid thing like buring a penis onto a lawn or something of that matter.

cause i plan on getting a major in criminal justice and being a cop / detective

and that prank post was just out of curiosity. i always like watch  highschool stories on mtv.

Can you imagine how many bums would get to sleep with roofs over their heads?  Perhaps something like community service.

well...... that is always a problem and it is today in our jails,
bums do crimes(rape, murder, ect) so that they will end up with a roof over their heads

My half-uncle was like that.  Then he got murdered, so it all worked out.

I have a friend who works part time as a Dispatcher here.  When I asked him how many calls they normally get from children that don't know any better than to call 911 (because they are curious or crave attention or whatever), he responded that a good 5-10% of calls were little kids without emergencies.  I don't know about you guys, but I find that percentage to be huge.

Not that I'm defending these dispatchers, it is the local Dispatcher policy to return all 'prank' calls from children in order to inform the Parents.  That might not necessarily be true in a larger community.

Obviously it would rock if we could have everyone who pranked called 911 be arrested or at least checked out, but I'm sure that it is not a feasible priority for the police...especially with recent budget cuts.

Usually an arest threat is enough to scare the crap out of a kid

Not one that is too young to understand what an arrest is or to even have the threat explained to him.

No.  We are always taught that, no matter what, 911 calls are always considered seriously.  Every time 911 is pranked from my building's payphone, the police show up.

Any time there is such an emergency service it will be abused.  There's no way around it.  We just need to be prepared to respond to them.

Completely agreed.  Like I was saying earlier, this is a lot like bomb threats.  Even if they "know" it's a prank (Ie -- 4/20), they always respond.
