GG Gates
« on: June 20, 2006, 02:31:36 pm »
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/5086412.stm

He may have been kind to the world, but he has never been kind in his role of business, constently trying to force competitors off the market and causing monoplization created too much economic efficiency (one such being the bugs apparent in certain Window products) but hey, its good to know the Xbox has been doing next to nothing for Microsoft's plan of world domination! (note I don't hate Gates, just his business ethics) and I doubt he'll get someone nice, it'll probeley be some bastard we will all learn to hate with a bloated ego and confidence in the consumer confidence of his product, like the current Sony president!
Anyway nice to know he'll be at hand trying to solve problems of the third world soon!

He'll still be making money, he wont be doing anything. GG to all the people buying MS products.
He's a smart man, a very smart man. Let's not forget it's Ballmer who's CEO at MS not Gates thats why MS has done worse these last years than ever before (Not that it's even that bad)
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

I was reading something one day and dosent Ballmer own the seahawks?

With that aside. I personally feel that Microsoft will be around for the next 100 or even 200 years if they keep up with the times. I really dont forsee an Enron scandal happing.

@ZeroX: If Sony doesn't do something about the price and the availability of development tools for the PS3 (I read that development of a title costs for the PS3 are US$16.7, or about 2 billion yen, and that is before actual work goes into the title; PS3 dev tools are just that expensive).  Plus, John Carmack of id Software has been quoted as saying that the XBox 360 has the best dev tools he's seen for a console by far.

The Wii will have a price advantage, but if they still gear to kids they're not going to win much marketshare.  The PS3 might be more powerful, but the Xbox being more powerful than the PS2 didn't win the Xbox that much support.  PS3 is driving away its dev base like Nintendo did, and this generation's war is going to be lost because of it.

I plan on buying a wii. I don't do alot of gaming, and I read somewhere it could be around $100 - that's a great price for a few hours of gaming a month.

I doubt it.  They can get away with making a good price off of US$250.
