A Little Tip
« on: June 28, 2006, 12:34:43 pm »
Never work for your parents. At least, if they are anything like my mom. My job here is horrible, and I feel like I am slowly withering away into a corpse made of strawberries...

...HELP ME!

Licking a hooker's ass still isn't logical, unless there's a bunch of shrapnel in her rectum that will procure open wounds on your tongue. :[

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you.  I'm working for my dad this summer, and it's turned into the worst summer of my life.
errr... something like that...

And if its anything close to what my sister has to pay(she has to pay for insurance), then you get paid a lot.

What's even more insulting is that he doesn't have to pay taxes on that kind of income!   >:(

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLD" 1993???
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

My first car(83 Jeep Wagoneer 5.9l V8, very little 'get up & go' tho) was an 83 & that was pretty decent.  My current car is an 87 accord...its pretty spiffy!  I get over 30mpg & it keeps increasing (I obviously drive differently each time...but its cool cuz last summer I drove it I was getting about 24)

Altho, I will give you that the handles are missing & the dash is jacked...very fixable still.  Is that all thats wrong with it?

nope my radiater is jacked so i have to put water or something into it every time i turn off the engine
my doors are falling apart
every thing that is plastic in my car has been damaged beyond repair
my shocks are skrewed up so every time i have to drive over a speed bump i keep bounceing
(it is very useful for shakeing chocolate milk ;))

You don't deserve a $15,000 car until you learn about cars enough to respect your new one.

I personally don't see why anyone would want a $15,000 car. I'd pay $2000 for it, if it has a built in sterio (forget CD, use the walkman -> tapeplayer converter), power steering, and a cupholder (you do not know how annoying it is to not have a cupholder), a backlit dashboard, and the other barebones requirements to make it street legal. Screw power windows, four doors, etc.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

If I had the money, I'd buy a nice car... after getting a bunch of expensive network components, of course. :)

Apparently, my dad is going to buy me a brand new car because of my scholarship.   :P

When did you ever get that driver's license or are you still working on it?

errr... something like that...

Exactly. If I had more spare cash it'd definately go into a computer instead of a car.
