Damnit.  That didn't work.
I changed my name to "deadly8" to see if anyone would notice, and then posted this topic, and changed my name back to deadly7.. and this post changed back to deadly7 from deadly8.

Yeah, your name is fetched from the database everytime your user id shows up as the poster.  Changing your name changes your name for all the posts.
