- International Student ID
This shouldn't mean
anything. When I was in first year, half of the people I knew in res got international student IDs from the university (!), and they just lied to the person taking the photo about their age -- nothing other than a university card (which doesn't have DOB) was used to verify their identity to get the international ID!
.
One of the reasons I think they were so slack about it was because the people in charge of dispensing the IDs were connected to some travel agency: so you get the card with the possible promise of doing business with their partners (actually the people who told me about this said to pretend you're interested in doing a year abroad using their services etc., before asking about the IDs), and they'll help you with your identity fraud. Of course, it's an unspoken agreement, and one reason corporations should be in no way linked, (even as sponsors), to government/university proceedings.
