...this is all assuming the fires have been stopped/contained. The Gila Forest (where we're going & also the first national wilderness area I believe) has been on fire like 70,000acres worth. Not sure if its the same area we want to go to, though.
I don't know how to tell some of my friends that they aren't going...because I don't want them to go. Those 2 girls will just complain & build off of each other & then I'll hate the trip. Nikki would be decent to have come along without Toni, but together, no, they'd have alot of crap they wouldnt need & someone else would end up carrying...that is ZERO fun.
+ the 1st mile of the trip is decently steep (1000ft change in that mile, the rest is flat crossing the river tho), Toni will complain about getting up early saturday (if we leave town sat mornin it'd be @ 6am unless we spend fri night in the Gila & then get up early & hike down @ 8am), she'll complain about the hike too, grrr.
I hope there is water & no fire. I haven't been out real camping in a long time.
