You guys need to download some TobyMac. I'm not really a fan of the traditional gangster rap where you have a repeating instrumental and a guy reciting poetry, but TobyMac is a combination of rock, rap, and metal. Interesting mix, but he pulls it off well.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

The closest thing to rap I can stand is Skindred, which isn't even rap, it's Jamaican Metal (it's pretty cool :P)

I look mostly for talent in whatever I listen to (and mostly instrumental talent, since I find very little talent can come of vocal cords.) Send me a rapper or a rap with good instrumental talent (or extremely good vocal talent), and I will probably enjoy it. Until then, back to Heathen.

leet_muffin: TobyMac has pretty good instrumental talents, and adequate at least vocals. If you're looking for a song to check them out, see Catchafire or Diverse City.

EDIT -
The Slam is also a pretty good song.

Christian * sucks. Rap is imho better than anything out there. You know I'd rather be listening to Rap than satanic/highly disturbed music. But seriously, Jesus sucks.
Creed was considered Christian rock, and they were a massive success.  :P
errr... something like that...

They were a massive success despite everyone hating them.

What's really cool about bands like Creed and TobyMac is that everyone knows some of their songs and some people really like them, but nobody knows they're Christian bands. It's a great way to push the fact that Christian music doesn't suck onto them, because they only reject the music because they think it's religious. However, they actually like the music when they don't know what it's about.

Everyone knew Creed was a Christian band.  What people didn't know was that Alter Bridge was Creed with a different bassist (IIRC).  Either way, both still suck.

Alter Bridge is Creed with a different singer.  Scott Stapp (the former lead-singer for Creed) quit and went solo.  I like both Creed and Alter Bridge.  I don't listen to them nearly as much as some other music I like (metal \m/), but I still would much rather listen to them over any of my mother or father's music. >_>

My dad actually listens to (usually) good music, hah!  Anyway, I reference RvB when I say "HAHA CREED SUCKS AHAHAHAHAHA".  I really just plain don't like Creed/Creed with a different singer.

My dad doesn't really listen to music, but when he does, he likes country.

I don't really care if you don't like Creed.  You're obviously entitled to your opinion. ;)
