Opposite morals (rules split)
« on: July 17, 2006, 02:41:46 pm »
For everything there is an equal and opposing force.  For good there is evil.  That's how sin came to be.  It's the only way balance is maintained.
The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

"They say that I must learn to kill before I can feel safe, but I rather kill myself then turn into their slave."
- The Rasmus

Conscious or morals don't exert a physical force.  Therefore, Newton's laws don't apply to them.  I don't understand why those types of analogies or relations are made. :\

Evil only exists because we have a concept of Good.  If there was no Evil, there would only be Neutral.  Anyway, Good and Evil aren't balanced.  If they were, there'd be more people like Hitler.

'Good' and 'evil' are also relative and subjective terms.  There is nothing objective about either of them, so it's extremely difficult to apply them to any sort of logical set of mathematical rules, such as Newton's laws.

This is a good conversation but doesn't apply to the rules, so.. split.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

That completely depends on your point of view and what you believe to be good and what you believe to be evil.

Like I already said, making objective statements (like that) on subjective issues (like this) is pretty useless.  If someone disagrees, there's no real way you can convince them to adopt your oppinion.

Argh, it was a joke, silly.

I was hinting that Hitler = good.
