In my school district, myspace is blocked, but x86, vL, and wikipedia aren't.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

This is good, maybe now some public places will have bandwidth free. Although, it's not like students haven't been getting around this for a while now.

Why would you block Amazon in libraries?  People may actually use the two for their correct uses at once.

Not just Myspace -- also Amazon, Slashdot, forums, etc.
I think it's up to the FCC; they just have some guidelines they have to consider from Congress.

It sounds like a decent idea, but they didn't hammer out all the details first. 
errr... something like that...
