Damn.
« on: July 29, 2006, 07:44:10 pm »
I just heard that one of my friends dad got killed. Apparently he was in the mercedes parking lot and he forgot to put his car in park or something...anyways he started running after it and got stuck underneath it.

Now I sorta feel like emailing him, but I'm not really sure what to do. Any suggestions?

Make a card. "So.. I heard you had a stroke." Tell them they didn't have a "crap dude, your dad died.. that sucks" card, and that was the best you could find.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Yeah.. that was kind of heartless, Joe.

Anyway, I would E-mail him and make sure he is alright and then try and help him if he needs any.
The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

I would personally make up a fund to help your friend out at this time. I remeber when my dad died everybody that knew him would put in like 5 bucks towards a "Name of the father" fund and just give it to the family. I got almost 600 dollars from the kiddness of people's heart.

Yes he did. I've met his dad before too.

That's actually a cool idea. I wouldn't mind talking to some of my friends about that.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

If you can't find it in yourself to be sympathetic in a situation like this, let me advise you: shut your corn hole and keep whatever fucked up comments you have regarding the situation to yourself.

Cheers.

It does really sound like a lot of people are dying, lately. Gladly, it's no one I directly knew, so I myself haven't been affected, but both a friend's friend died, and my sister's friend's mom. I think everyone's going through a really stressful time right now (strange, since it's summer). Though, this really does make you think about how easily you could lose someone close to you. Which.. is rather freaky.  :-\
