Important application software
« on: August 09, 2006, 01:15:42 pm »
Hey -

So after a failed attempt at a Wireless-N card installation, it seems that I may be pushed into doing something that I've been planning on doing for a while now, which is make a single installation of Windows that unifies my gaming and "work" worlds.  I figure I've got enough RAM to afford it at this point.

I'm trying to outline the application software I have licenses for and iron out the installation order.  Let me know what you think:

Operating System
Windows Media Center Edition 2005 (includes SP2)
Internet Information Services, Indexing Service, remove Outlook Express, MSN Explorer, and Windows Messenger
Media Center Update Rollup 2
NVidia GeForce unified driver
Linksys Wireless-G driver
Linksys Wireless-N driver
Creative Audigy 2 driver
NVidia DVD Decoder
Hauppague WinTV PVR-100-MCE driver
Perform Media Center configuration
Perform Media Center Extender configuration

Application Software
Office 2003
Visio for Enterprise Architects 2003
Visual Studio 6
Visual Studio 2003
Visual Studio 2005
Macromedia Studio MX 2004
Adobe Creative Suite CS
Debugging Tools for Windows
DivX
SmartFTP 2.0
NDoc 1.3
.NET Reflector
Firefox 1.5
Windows Media Player 10
MySQL 5.0
TweakUI, Command Prompt Here, Image Resizer power toys
VirtualDrive 8
Roxio Media Creator Suite
Ethereal

To be installed after everything is verified to be working
Windows activation
Pinnacle Game Profiler
iRiver media player driver
Xbox 360 controller driver
Canon S750 driver
Digital camera driver and software
Any other games

Any thoughts of things to be added to this list?  I'm putting together the downloadable stuff now.

I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

Running with Code has a new home!

Our species really annoys me.

Haha, I have a PVR-250 sitting in my room that's busted. The tuner is fucked up.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.
