AFK LOL
« on: August 20, 2006, 01:56:16 am »
AFK from 4 AM Sunday to 10 PM Saturday.

I'll be in Kentucky for church missions.

I'm not going to sleep tonight. So on the 12 hours bus ride there, I'll be really tired and sleep the entire ride. Ingenious, right?

I know you care.

Bye!~

P.S: Don't miss me too much.   :P

It's okay. I wasn't really much of a challenge anyways.

Well, last post before I go. BYE!~

Hehe, I thought about sleeping in the van on the way to youth convention. This October, however, I'll know that *nobody* will get peace and quiet on the way there, and especially on the way back.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I tried that when I went to Ireland, except it back-fired and I was up for almost 3 days.

Same here. I went to a condo for New Year's, and I didn't get a full day's sleep before the trip, and during the trip(like 5 hours) I didn't get any sleep either. And of course, I didn't sleep after we got there. In total, I ended up not sleeping for almost 4 days. I was a wreck.

Well, I'm back.

Yeah... my ingenious plan didn't work out too well. I was talking with the rest of the people in the van for the majority of the time.

Anyways, the missions trip was pretty fun / tiring (because of the work).

We went here:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&addtohistory=&address=&city=Beverly&state=KY&zipcode=&country=US&location=Bqlwcc%2boLedDX1zB6ncC8dRBmHiI8UNIA9IvknAMpK3qMxN3O%2bMt9gHcihTgmZAkchjkAzu2pQgaWa6qecBrfL7uwPY5oqkyh167ltmRisc%3d&ambiguity=1

Day 1: Wake up, breakfast, work until 4:30, shower, dinner, free time, sleep.

Day 2: Same as Day 1.

Day 3 (Day off): We went hiking for a couple hours (If you couldn't tell, we were really close to the App. Mountains). It was really tiring. Then we went to Cumberland Gap. There was like a tri-state park. So I was in Kentucky, Tennesee, and Virginia at the same time! Then we ate dinner in Tennessee. Then we went back to our work site.

Day 4: Same as Day 1.

Day 5: Same as Day 1.

Day 6: Left for Michigan at around 7:30. Got back around 4:30.

Man, I feel as though I've been gone for years and years. The pastor that went with us said something really funny on the drive back. The gas prices were SO LOW. We saw a $2.39.
Quote
Kid: Wow! $2.39!
Pastor: Maybe we conquered some middle eastern state while we were gone.
P.S: We were away from civilization. The place we went was in the mountains, so the area there looked like a third world country. You wouldn't expect a place like that to be here in the U.S., eh?
