4 dead, 16 hurt in Montreal shooting

OTTAWA: Four people were killed and at least 16 were injured when two gunmen attacked a college in downtown Montreal, the RDI network quoted unofficial sources as saying.   
 
“There are said to be... four dead and 16 wounded. This   remains to be confirmed. This comes from unofficial sources,” an RDI reporter said.
 
It was not clear whether the death toll included the two gunmen, who government sources said had also died.
One of the gunmen appeared to have committed suicide while the other was shot by police.
Police were unable to immediately provide details on the gunshots fired inside Dawson College, in downtown Montreal, police spokeswoman Melanie Lajoie said.
 
According to LCN, an armed man entered the school cafeteria shortly before 1 pm and began shooting.
 
LCN said four people were injured, but the television network said it could not immediately confirm the details.
 
Television images showed frightened students running as they were evacuated from the building and one person being carried out on a stretcher.
 
Alexandra Nadeau, a student interviewed by LCN, said she heard between eight and 10 gunshots and at least one injured had been evacuated.

I really don't see how 19 people could survive getting hit by a Kalichnikov. People probably just saw a rifle that loaded from the bottom and went "OMG AK!"

AK47?  Canada?  Doesnt Canada have more strict gun restrictions than the US?  How could someone get an assault rifle in prestine Canada?  OH NOES!  Must be George Bush's fault!

My dad used to have an old VC kalichnikov from when he fought in Vietnam, but they wouldn't let him bring it back to the states, because "it gave the impression that there was a huge war being fought." Which, apparently, there wasn't?

He also had a VC flag and a huge piece of shrapnel that almost hit him. Couldn't bring those over.

The first article you linked is terribly wrong, Furious.  One gunman, not two.  He was part of some vampire site, too.   There were 3 in serious condition, 1 dead, many wounded.  That was two days ago on the news. 

Also, Craz3d, shutup.  You're making fun of an event similiar to the columbine tragedy.

I was simply stating that I would consider Columbine to be much more of a tragedy than Montreal.
