Well, other provinces have water (maritines, quebec, ontario, BC), and some have mountains (BC, Alberta, Ontario), both of which regulate the weather a little. But Manitoba is like North Dakota and other places around here: no water and no mountains = totally continental climate, meaning it goes way up in the summer and way down in winter.

We just have hot & pretty warm...SOMETIMES we get cold

I only have to worry about -21 and a bit + windchill. Yeah, so shorts and a t-shirt it is.
