Last night, a couple friends wanted to see XengineX. I figured I was bored, so what the hell?
For anybody who doesn't know (probably, everybody), XengineX (pronounced 10-engine-x) are a Nu-metal band from Winnipeg that toured with Godsmack recently.
I'm not a big fan of Nu-metal, but I also don't hate it. The bands that played sort of reminded me of Korn, Godsmack, Disturbed, etc. That's not bad, although it wasn't the best either. But I can live with it.
The big difference I noticed between this and other metal shows I've been to is the audience. I'm accustomed to fans of deathmetal and such, which are actually rather good people. This show was filled with people who seemed to be trouble-makers. Lots of natives (which are our biggest problem here) and tough-acting people. I've gotten so used to metal audiences that this audience was scary.
So yeah, that was my fun for last night. Just in case anybody wanted to know!
