MyBB
« on: September 23, 2006, 02:44:34 pm »
I don't know if you people have ever heard of this, but their is an extremely cool, free BB system that is out called MyBB.

It's a really good system. This site uses it and it has 60634 registered members on it, so it's reliable. I'd give it a try. :)

I'm quite satisfied with SMF, and I plan to use SMF forever, unless something really horrible happens to it :)

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

I wasn't recommending a change, I <3 SMF too.

I'm just recommending MyBB for an option if somebody needed a free BB.

Yeah, I didn't think you were asking for a change, that would be impossible at this point.  But even for new BB's, I'd still recommend SMF to people.  I couldn't see MyBB being better than it.

This topic isn't "SMF" it's "MyBB"

If you want to discuss how great SMF is go create an SMF topic. MyBB looks nice.

Regardless, SMF is a totally valid subject to discuss.

Just change the "Subject" line of your response to "SMF", then it's fair game.

But yeah, SMF and MyBB fill in the same niche, and are basically competitors with each other.  When making a choice to use MyBB, one should also examine alternatives before coming to a conclusion which one to pick.  So in a thread about one, bringing up another, especially one considered by most to be better, is perfectly valid, I think.

This is almost as dumb as the argument over how long a pregnancy period is.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.
