V for Vendetta
« on: March 21, 2006, 12:59:23 pm »
This was probably one of the best movies that I have seen in awhile.  If you haven't seen it yet, I would put it on the "Must See" list.

Tell me what you guys think about it.
The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

Cool!  I've been wondering how it is.  It looked like a good movie.

It kicked much ass, but as with anything that was something else before it was a movie, it could have been better. Anyone else here read the graphic novel? It's always been one of my favorites.

I didn't like it. However, I also had two bored girls sitting next to me (that I had invited) that talked/put on makeup the entire time. I'll watch it again when it comes to video because I'm sure I missed alot.

I saw some flash movie on Newgrounds.com and it was awsome..
At beginning, I didn't know what it was and after some researches, I found what it was!
If I can find the link back, I'll edit my post and give it to you... :D

Yea, the graphic novels are badass, the reason you don't see the authors name for it is he believes that they twisted the story too much, yet its hard to fit 5 novels into a 2 hour movie. Overall I enjoyed it. Agent Smith was pretty badass as V.

Horrible.  The Wachowskis seem to think their audience is retarded and need to have the symbolism bludgeoned into their skulls.  The movie also advocates violent revolution where it is not needed.  Let's not forget the blatant Hitler and Cheney references.
