I don't understand why a person would drink canned or instant or premade or whatever you want to call it tea.
Because it tastes better. Sorry!
Are the rumors true that if you're in the north and ask for a glass of tea they bring you unsweetened? Or if you ask for a glass of sweet tea (if they know what you're talking about) bring you a glass of unsweetended tea, a spoon, and sugar packets?
If you're here and you ask for tea, you'll generally get a glass (or tea-pot) of near-boiling water, a tea bag, sugar, and cream, and from there you build your tea yourself. Sometimes the restaurants put the tea-bag in the near-boiling water for you.
I thought it was really weird when we went to Florida and my stepmom asked for tea and they said, "hot or cold?" --- that's a concept that we don't have up here. It's either 'tea' or 'ice tea'.
