Let's start by saying: I'm not racist (against black people), but I do recognize that they have different tastes and preferences and cultures than us. There, I said it.
So anyway, last night I was at a local metal show when a band called Jaw came on.
Their MySpace site.
The band is about to start, there's a guitar player, bass player, and drummer on stage, and they're just waiting for the vocals guy. That's fine. Then suddenly, this big tough shirt-less black guy walks on stage, and starts off with the classic death-growl and goes onto sing death-metal.
I was amazed! I've never seen a black guy AT a metal show, or in a metal band, never mind SINGING! It was so cool! It's like seeing a female singer -- novel and cool.
If a black person can do metal, maybe this world has some hope to do away with rap/hip-hop once and for all
