Daylight Savings Time last night
« on: October 29, 2006, 08:56:40 am »
If you're on your computer, you should probably know (that's what reminded me -- when Linux told me it's 8, and my alarm clock said 9).  But just in case your computer is broken, DST happened night.  Clocks go back an hour!

Or in Saskatchewan, but I don't think anybody on this forum lives there.

So, in a panicked rush, I'm working on my stupid history project. It's 1:58. I need to get about 3 more pages done (~30 min/page), and I need to get to bed before 3:00. I don't see it happening. So, with the barrel in my mouth and my finger on the trigger.... (not really) I look back at the clock and see that somehow it's only 1:05. Thank you, Daylight Savings Time, you really saved my life (not really).

It takes me approximately 2 minutes to find and load a gun, and about 5 to contemplate removing a part of my head. (actually, the 7 minutes were spent working.)

Thank God for radio atomic clocks and Windows (wtf?). The only clock I had to actually set was my watch. :)
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Hehe, yeah, I thought about that last night. I wonder if people that get off work at 2:00 were let off at 1:59:59, and the next shift got screwed an extra hour.
