Haha. YouTube has had a lot of shit going for it recently. No more Comedy Central clips... no more domain soon? (They CAN pay for another domain. It ain't expensive. Heh.)

I think purchasing YouTube = stupidest idea ever. Especially since they already had Google Video...

UTube just hit the jackpot. Not only they get money for suing YouTube, it's basically free advertisement.

I hope they lose this suit. They should have no reason to own YouTube's domain, it's not like Universal is spelled Youniversal.

People trying to get to YouTube crashed UTube's servers many many times, resulting in them losing business when contractors and distributors couldn't access their site, and being forced to buy far more bandwidth than they would have otherwise needed.  And, mind you, a lot of deals that companies like UTube make are in the millions of dollars area, so missing 2 or 3 of them would be an enormous detriment to their profits.  Now tell me if you think they should lose.

If people are hitting UTube's website instead of YouTube, they should be happy. It's basically free advertisement. I wouldn't be surprised if they made money the whole thing.

If they had already bought enough bandwidth to handle the amount of people going onto their site, like you stated, then it would basically be like an advertisement for them.

I think YouTube should win this case.  It's not their fault people are idiots, after all.  Blame all those "jump start your kid's education!" dealies.  I didn't get jump started, and now I don't leave the cruise control of my Winnebago on and get up and go in the back with nobody at the steering wheel (like an old lady did; she sued Winnebago for not having that in their manual and she won.. a million dollars).

Those were created with the intention of cathing misspellings... UTube just happens to be unlucky in this case. I think intent is a big part of it.
