Tessa's coming home!!
« on: November 21, 2006, 12:02:08 am »
I have a friend named Tessa. She graduated from Sauk Prairie High School last year, in Prairie du Sac, WI. She went into the Coast Guard Academy half way though the summer. I haven't seen her since.

I just got an email from her a few minutes ago. She'll be home on Wednesday.

To co-workers: Anyone wanna take my Gp shift? :).
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Maybe you're just missing a few (hundred) brain cells? ;)

Yay for friends coming home.  A few are home for Thanksgiving too

Did I tell you guys about my car (surfing) accident back in January? :P.

Tessa's on her way back to USCGA on Sunday morning, 6AM sharp. She'll be back for Christmas, though, so she's not gone nearly as long as last time! I forgot to mention that Tessa was the lead guitarist in our worship band at church. With her back, as well as Travis (drummer) and Marianne (pianist/lead vocals) all in the church at once, it would have been fitting to have a concert, but for some odd reason we didn't. Christmas, though!

You cant have rock & roll in church, its the devil's music!

I'm surprised God doesnt smite all of you guys by bringing back Hendrix or Elvis only to have them suck on stage for a while

This is going to sound slighty weird explaining it, but bear with me.

I go to a pentacostal, Assemblies of God church.. so it's not like Catholic/Baptist churches where you sing the same hymns over and over each Sunday. Our worship music is more like Christian Rock.. Jeff Deyo, Terry Kelly, etc. So, you could comprise a "rock concert" of strictly the music we'd use for worship, at least during youth group. Of course, Travis would be beating the drums slightly harder than during normal worship, but reguardless, the "rock and roll" we play is by no means Satanic. :)
