Why do we only hear of people being possessed by demons, yet not angels?

The bible says that angels are sinless with pure intentions.  If it did happen, I don't think it would be noticed.  A change for the good is rarely very attention grabbing.  If someone is speaking 15 different languages and throwing up ten feet across the room, it's slightly more interesting.

Speaking 15 languages isn't even evidence of posession anymore. I know someone who met someone who knows 6 languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Samoan, and Italian?).

By the way, why would an Angel posess someone? God wouldn't "force" you into doing something for him, but if you refer to him as Lord, you would obey what he wanted. When you're posessed by a demon, you have no choice. For example, a pastor friend of my pastor met a lady once who was posessed by a demon, went over to a space heater, and started burning her arm right off, after demonstrating lack of skills at the worm, yet giving it an attempt anyhow. Who would volunarily do that?
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Your lack of ability to infer something important about a statement stuns me, Joe.

By the way, why would an Angel posess someone? God wouldn't "force" you into doing something for him, but if you refer to him as Lord, you would obey what he wanted. It's possess.

He already said that it was a stupid question.  Did you miss that, or did you pretend to ignore it so you wouldn't miss your chance to look mysteriously learned in the ways of God?

I'm not sure, but I think that there are medical diagnosis for insanity... maybe I'm making things up again.  ::)

Medicine?  God?  They don't mix.  You're clearly wrong, Sidoh.

The acceptance of the Holy Spirit (see: Holy Trinity) is a form of possession, not by demons or angels, but by of God himself.  This possession is said to have strange affects on human behaviors and belief structures, and make capable the practice of extra-human abilities.  This form of possession is actually encouraged by numerous fundamentalist groups and is still seen frequently today.

Edit: Why didn't you mention that part, Joe?

The possession by the holy spirit, demonstrated on Pentacost, was completely optional. In fact, the people in the room when the were first possessed by the holy spirit had been there for, I believe, four days? It was in no way forced upon them, demonstated by those who left.

Possession by a demon, on the other hand, is not optional, and definiately not sought out, so it's much different from that idea.
