Christmas Party #1!
« on: December 17, 2006, 02:07:52 am »
Today at around 3:00, some friends came over. Bare with me with this part, because it's nearly impossible to describe the story without knowing the characters:

Joe - Yours truely
Amy - Girlfriend, lifeguard
Jamie - Amy's twin sister, lifeguard
Jarek - Homosexual lifeguard
Sam - Some random friend of Amy's
Denise - Amy's little sister. Actually, she's not blood-related, nor legally related, but you know what I mean. (Note: she's 7).

Okay, so, they all show up. We're digging the food out of their cars and we find out that both Amy and Sam brought cake, and Jarek brought chips and salsa, which is what I had. So, we plug his crockpot thing of taco dip in and we go bowling.

Rather eventful! Theres six of us, so we easily fit on one lane, but for some reason we get two lanes and enter our names on both of them, so we're simultaneously playing two games. That's just fine, I don't care. So, we bowl a frame and then Denise complains that it's too hard, so we play the rest of the game with bumpers up, which was alright. And since Sam is a bit of a nutcase (understatement), she entered these names:

Denise - D Dawg
Sam - Frogget
Jarek - Douche (originally FagMex)
Jamie - J ME
Amy - A ME
Joe - Lil Wil (note: from William)

Anyhow, Denise does remarkably well for her age, although she bowls like someone from the special olympics. I don't remember the exact order, but I owned everyone on the left lane and lost to Jamie on the second lane, taking second. Pretty fun.

So, then we come home. I sit down with my laptop and play some solitare, enjoying all their fighting over how to form the line to grab food, etc. Eventually they all sit down with their food, so then I go grab some. Uneventful, other than Amy not being too educated on the fact that a well-shaken bottle of soda will expand upon opening. While we're eating, we watched American Pie and AP2: Band Camp, both of which were rather entertaining (the whole camera thing in the second has inspired me). Denise was like "YOU GUYS NEED TO BE GOOD, NO KISSING!" so I had Sam force her to watch Amy and I kiss, and eventually she got over it (yes, I kissed a girl).

So, from there it was downhill. We played some pool (I have a pool table, got it from the grandparent's basement when we got our new house), sat and talked, and made fun of Sam for having boobs so huge that she couldn't keep them in her shirt. They kept popping out, which was kind of cool, especially since Amy didn't care.

When they left, I did some cleanup, which was amazingly easy. All that's left to do is to chug the rest of my case of Pepsi and put away the Lego's that Denise was playing with. Then, I came to my room and played WoW. AV popped, afk.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Jarek is a "fag". But it's just a normal Mexican name, as far as I know.

Isn't Band Camp technically American Pie 4?  I know The Naked Mile is American Pie 5...

AV popped, afk.
By AV, do you mean AntiVirus (aka, Brandon)?  And by popped, do you mean....... err........

No, Band Camp and The Naked Mile (which is actually quite funny) are side-stories, so I don't think they are counted as 4/5.

According to IMDB:
#  American Pie Presents Band Camp (2005) (V)
aka "American Pie 4: Band Camp" - USA (working title)
# American Pie 5: The Naked Mile (2006) (V)

I don't know. I thought it was #2.

WoW term. AV is a battleground, Alterac Valley, where the 40 alliance players battle it out with 40 horde players to control the entire zone (somewhat similar to DotA, if you've ever played that on WC3), and saying something popped is when you reach the end of the queue to join the battleground and are allowed to enter. So basically saying that "AV popped" means "Ok guys, I'm going to battle in Alterac Valley, see you later"
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

iago is right.
Joe is dumb.
Trust is misinformed.
(I like how trust & joe are both wrong, but trust is only misinformed)

I haven't seen "The Naked Mile" yet.  I, unfortunately, saw Band Camp on TV one day.  I felt like a lesser being after that.

I watched it on http://www.peekvid.com (Pretty cool site but quality isn't that great.)

I just came from my employee Christmas party. I got $50 barter bucks (can be exchanged for alot of stuff) in a raffle. Woo.

Our Christmas party for work is January 17th. I doubt I'll go, because I have youth group on Wednesdays.
