Once you get them into an iPod-acceptable format you need to add them to your library via iTunes then you can add it to your iPod from the software.

Like trust said, import the video into itunes, and then there's the option in the a right-click menu that boils down to "convert video for ipod."

However, I like Lord's solution more, personally.  It's a more direct way to solve the problem.

Videora iPod Converter.

are upload times usually 40 minutes?
Super Troopers, which is about 680mb once converted to MP4 format by Videora, transfers in about 2 minutes.  I'm using Anapod Explorer, btw.
I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

No what I'm saying is that he needs to import the video to iTunes in order to put it on his iPod. I didn't realize in his original post that he was trying to put a DVD on it, I thought he was just trying to drag and drop a video and it wouldn't go onto the iPod.

Anyway, I recommend MoviePod for conversion, it's great.

Does MoviePod take nearly an hour to convert movies as well?

Nope, me.  My laptop is 1280x800.  I go by the rule of thumb that, if your signature takes more than half of my screen's height, I send a polite message asking you to change it or make it smaller.  Apparently someone just likes to be dumb.  :P

When I did sustained transfer with Anapod Explorer the other night (uploading Season 6 of Star Trek: Voyager, Super Troopers, and Star Trek: First Contact, I was getting a sustained transfer rate of 112mb/s (that's megabits, not megabytes, so about 14 MiB/s).  The videos transferred very quickly - much more quickly to my iPod than across the house over my wireless network (I did a two-step transfer).  At that rate, a 680-MiB file should take about 50 seconds to transfer.

Incidentally, using Anapod Explorer avoids the need for having iTunes or QuickTime on your system.  I use QuickTime Alternative to watch any .mov files in Windows Media Player, do playlist organization, and the like.  It's got Windows Explorer integration - pretty nice.  :)

Haha. I liked it. Just needed to be shrunk.

Anapod Explorer is incredible. It's the one piece of software I've purchased and been completely satisfied with.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

I agree fully with his signature, minus one point. My beef is with the Brazilians, not the Mexicans.

But yeah.. I'm running at 1600x1200 on a 19" montior and it was still too big.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

All for a product that will be phased out once Microsoft decides it is time to end Apple's reign at the top. ;)

For $20-$30 you should have gotten one of those leather (synthetic? oh well) cases that has the built in screen cover. :P

iHome is a piece of shit -- just take the base and run it into the aux on your stereo. You don't have to pay any extra ($3 to RadioShack for the cable, fine) and you get more boom for your buck.. quite literally, unless your stereo sucks, in which case life.exit(-1);

I have the leather Apple case. It's pretty sweet but definitely not worth the $100 price tag. (Woo, I got mine for $31!)
