Media advisory: Threat forces cancellation of classes
ROLLA, Mo. -- All classes at the University of Missouri-Rolla have been cancelled until 10 a.m. today due to threat affecting the Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Building on campus.
Later this morning, UMR officials will determine whether to hold classes for the remainder of the day. Students are advised to tune in to local radio stations and check their UMR email accounts for updates.
UMR staff members are advised to stay off campus until further notice.
That is the email I got this morning. I guess some International Student wrote 4 pages (that were covered with a white substance) talking about how he was going to blow up our Civil Engineering building. This morning when the police came he had a knife and a bag that he claimed contained a bomb. The police officers tasered him and got him into custody.
Presently they are waiting for people to come to test the powder. Once that is done they have a robot that they will use to go through the building and they also have a bomb team here.
So much drama right when I wake up..
