Before it's gone forever...
« on: February 24, 2007, 02:30:56 pm »
Well, before it's deleted and gone forever, I figure I will give somebody else the chance to work from it. It's dirty, hardly commented and won't get you online - take it or leave it. :P

So I'm guessing this isn't entirely lockdown compatible?

"before it's deleted and gone forever" could mean a lot of things, plus there's mentions lockdown in some of the files.

warz, he asked you a simple question.  You don't need to get all aggressive about it (I'm referring to the post I moved to the trash can).

I don't see how you expect anyone to infer the answer to his question without having some level of doubt.

I perfectly inferred his question with no doubt. And that's ME.

warz gave up on lockdown because BattleNet is dying and nobody wanted to help him with he. He just didn't want to waste all the time he spent on it, so he released it. And I'm going to assume he'll delete it.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

You "perfectly inferred?"  lol.

That's because it's YOU.  You failed to consider that the code won't "get you online" because of some other incomplete detail.  Coming to a solid conclusion based on nothing but speculation is something that only works in Law and Order.

well, obviously it's lockdown related. checkrevision comes from within the lockdown library, and therefor would have to relate to lockdown in some way. this is just a non-completed conversion to C (and a lot of inline assembler). it's not meant to solve anything as is, but is meant to possibly help anyone looking to work on it for themselves. i posted it because i had been getting PM's from various people asking questions about checkrevision. and the before it's gone refers to the fact that it's no longer on my computer at all, and only exists on my ftp - which i will delete it off of sooner or later, i'm sure.

I've been doing some work on Lockdown myself so I've talked to warz on the subject before. I don't know if you know that I know, but I was knew perfectly well that a checkrevision.zip posted by warz was an incomplete lockdown reversal.

Even still, you can't infer the answer to rabbit's question based on anything beyond speculation unless you have some external evidence, which is exactly what you had.

He he he.

You didn't say I couldn't have external evidence! :)

You should have inferred that. ;)

Look up the definition.
