Vista runs fine on a 32-bit processor, from first-hand experience.I haven't used it myself on 64-bit but I hear it still doesn't work right.

Not having run x64 myself, I've heard some pretty recent bad things from it. Although I can't say they are the smartest of sources (Paul Thurrot)

I have a friend who popped Vista x64 on and whenever Nvidia gets graphics drivers out for my 8800 GTX I'll be upgrading to Vista on this one, too.
