iPhone Copyright Information
« on: January 25, 2007, 11:07:19 pm »
Rather than finding the other thread, I thought I'd make a clean one.

Here's a really good article on the iPhone issues (including the previous copyright holders of iPhone before Cisco, and also the legalities of copyrights): http://www.securityfocus.com/columnists/430

Hope that gives you guys some insight.

I prefer to be uneducated.  It makes for more heated arguments where personal attacks are allowed to flourish.  :P

Thus, McDonald’s hamburgers would not likely be confused with Old McDonald’s Farm, or McDonald’s Shoes (home of the golden arches?).

The ultimate issue will come down to this: is there a substantial likelihood that people looking for the Cisco product – or a product with capabilities like the Cisco product – would be confused by the Apple entry into the market?
Looks pretty cut and dry, how boring

I believe I said something similar to that in the other thread.  So apparently I knew what I was talking about :)

<edit> Here we go:
It depends if they figure that people could get confused between a VOIP Phone and a Cell Phone.  Like, there's a reason that "Windows Vista" can have the same name as a Window store: they are distinct.

Whatever happens, it's going to work out for Apple.
