Anyone know of a plugin for gaim, trillian or regular AIM that lets me hide all my IM windows with a key combo?

If it already exists, and works, it should be used, not remade.

And no, I do not know of a plugin that does that.

Not really.  If you're wanting to make something for the learning experience, then starting from scratch on your own is an excellent idea.

There may be lots of "new" problems out there, but that doesn't mean re-solving old ones is a bad practice.
