Windows has no sense of humor, a Mac slacks off and never gets anything done, and Linux is high-tech but ugly?

That's pretty good, actually.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

No it's saying Linux is for the people who to go Star Wars conventions dressed up. And they're ugly.

I laugh at the Mac commercials. It makes the Mac guy look like a jackass and the Windows guy look productive.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

lol, I must admit that the Vista one was pretty clever, albeit somewhat invalid.  My dad laughed his ass off when he saw it after I told him that he'd probably have to upgrade a bunch of his hardware in order to run vista without much pain involved.

The Mac guys is an asshole. If these comericals are to get people to lean towards a mac when Choosing there OS then I still go back to Windows. I want to kick that guy in the nuts.

Personally, I really liked the most recent Vista commercial with the security guard asking him "You are coming to a sad realization.  Allow or deny?"

That said, the commercials obviously target people who don't know much about either operating system.  I don't think it's possible to make a commercial that's going to convert even the least bias windows zealot (yes, I realize that's an oxymoron of sorts).

The thing that pisses me off is that these commercials are sort of taking advantage of people who simply don't have a clue of what's going on. Sure, it's their fault, but I wouldn't want it happening to me, and it's definately not moral to do so

The common person dosent know a damn thing about a comptuer let alone what an OS is. Assuming that you are an average person in today society you probally have only used Windows and have had some type of break out in your system so you would think "LOL, No virus on Mac? Easy to set up? The guy in teh commerical is laid back and whitty? Damn Mac is the choice for me"

So I totally agree with you on your statement. But you cant really think its taking advantage of somebody on their own stupidty and lack of Knowledge.

Isn't that the only audience that commercials really have a chance of influencing?

I'd wager most people simply don't care enough to make the switch.

What's grammer? Grammar, you mean?

Yeah, Joe, you're really one to be correcting spelling and grammar mistakes...

As opposed to all other commercials, that don't do this.

So everything over an arbitrary threshold shouldn't be allowed to advertise?
