Blizzards and Compensation!
« on: February 24, 2007, 06:35:21 pm »
I just (as in, about an hour ago) got home from being at work for a whole day straight. Basic outline of my time:

4:30 PM -- get to work.
4:50 PM -- clock in.
7:00 PM -- look out window, see blizzard.
7:01 PM -- say "oh shit"
11:00 PM -- clock out.
11:10 PM -- check into a free hotel room.

7:30 AM -- check out of hotel room, walk downstairs
7:50 AM -- clock in
3:50 PM -- clock out
4:20 PM -- get to Walmart
4:23 PM -- grab a gallon of milk
4:24 PM -- go to check out and see some nutcase fucker with 21 cases of mountain dew in the 20 items or less line, trying to use a 2 for 1 coupon ten times over.
4:40 PM -- finally get out of Walmart
4:55 PM -- get home

Eventful. By the way, we have a Blizzard Warning (yes, Blizzard, and yes, Warning) starting in 25 minutes.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

PLOW MY ROAD, LAZY!

ummmmmm....so?

1. We had a blizzard.
2. I stayed in a high-class hotel (Great Wolf Lodge, starts at like $200 per night) for free.

Wait.... you work?

I assume that's sarcastic, as IIRC, I've talked to you a few times, but yes, I'm a lifeguard at Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells, WI.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

I thought you got fired from lifeguarding or something? Whenever you talked about lifeguarding, I assumed you meant back when you had the job.
