Gear?
« on: April 03, 2007, 02:20:41 am »

What gear should I work on getting? Me and towelie were talking, and I am thinking of getting Shadoweave Pants over my current pants. I'm still doing ZF for experience and the Bad Mojo Mask, but I'm thinking of getting Dreamweave Circlet instead. Thoughts? Other comments on my gear? :O

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

I'd recommend getting the Bad Mojo Mask. Spirit as absolutely worthless for a lock, so you're basically be sacrificing 7 damage for 14 int, which is definitely worth it IMO. That is, unless fire damage is more important to locks than shadow damage, which IIRC is incorrect.

Mana regeneration is a big thing end-game. I've got two rings, +8MP/5sec each. Combining that with my Netherweave Robe, also +8/5sec, and lifetap (using drain health as main damaging spell), I rarely have to drink. Pretty decent, plus DOTs and Felguard make up for damage nicely.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Yup. There are people that had high quality epic items prior to burning crusade, and after fifteen minutes in outland had replaced half of it with blue, or maybe green, world drops. So, yeah, in 9 levels expect to have entirely new gear, and if you don't by 60+, then you're doing something wrong. :P

Edit: Good choice with the warlock, by the way. I'm not sure what kind of guild your in, or how serious they are, but you're one of the required classes for Gruul's Lair, High King Maulgar. Once yall get that on farm status it's just free epics - plus it's fun to run large raids. :P

MP/sec is garbage for locks, Joe. Stack stam and learn to life tap.
It is good to be good, but it is better to be lucky.

Are you an idiot? Warlocks do not need ANY spirit or ANY mana regeneration... :-/ well just a little spirit but only 1/7th of your +stamina. Warlocks need +HP/sec if anything, and +stamina, just look at warlock specific gear!

Yeah, don't focus too much on gear yet, focus on getting to 70. After you get to 70 focus on gear

Was spirit a typo, Towelie? Locks don't need spirit at all, like, in the least bit.  :P Which is why none of the high-end lock gear has spirit. For a warlock, it's stamina before int, and the rest doesn't really matter.

For warlocks, definitely.  Health is mana for a warlock.. lol.
