Baldur's Gate
« on: March 23, 2005, 03:52:34 am »
I just got this game from my friend, and we've been playing it for 6+ hours.

I have to say, it is the most fun I've ever had playing an RPG that is as slow-paced as it is.

Who has it and wants to play sometime? ^^!

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

I highly recommend it. It's the most fun I've ever had playing a game, and one of the only games I wanted to play for more than a few hours straight without getting bored (Half-Life 2 was the only other recent one).

It's pretty cheap too, since it's so old.

I could steal my brother's copy, but it doesn't look interesting enough to me. World of Warcraft does it for me :p

I had my first encounter with WoW today, and it wasn't very fun. Its not like I had an account to log into it with, but I did most certainly double click the icon!
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I love Tales of Symphonia.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

Someone help me with the fuckin' game.  I don't like the fact that I can't find where to go so that I can do Nalia's quest and get the castle. :(

World of Warcraft can be the same way, except its graphics own this.

Uhh, WoW = MMORPG, this = interface to D&D.

So, ancient topic, but I beat Baldur's Gate 2 again.

Last time I played it through, I only had one good character. This time, I had 6 awesome characters, since I went through every side quest I found. They were all user-created, but I'm 110% positive I could have assembled a force just as awesome with the PCs spread out throughout the game, since the gear (and player) make the character.

Last time I played it, the end boss battle took me two hours of real time to beat, with tons of reloading and such. This time, two minutes... with no damage done to me at all. Haha. Within 30 seconds it was over (just had to chase him down). A pic can be seen here:

My next goal: beat the expansion. My goal after that: beat the game again solo, with no party. :D

(I <3 this game.)

And at some point, I'm going to beat Planescape: Torment.
