Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market
« on: July 05, 2007, 06:18:45 pm »
Does anybody have one of these in their city? Wal-Mart just announced that they're going to be putting one right nextdoor to my moms work in the fall of 2008. It's essentially just a grocery store, but I think it's kind of overkill since we already have two Wal-Mart supercenters in our city, equidistant from this new one. I updated the Wiki page if anyone wants to read it, but there isn't much info on it.

Yeah, we're not really big into agriculture around here though. Our local food would probably be crabs and other marine life. Anyway, I hope my mom doesn't replace Harris Teeter with Wal-Mart for specialty stuff because I'll miss Harris-Teeter's garlic chicken. That stuff is dank. :(

You're crazy. You're talking about shit like Joe... we've never heard of your crazy stores so stop named-dropping. And dank is bad, unless you're talking about marijuana.

Haha, so true on both counts.

Remember the Simpsons? "Dank, urine-soaked hell hole" "We're prefer, 'pee-pee soaked heck hole'"

No Joe talks about people nobody knows, I didn't realize Harris Teeter was regional until CrAz3D said he didn't know what it was. Besides this is about Wal-Mart, do you not know what Wal-Mart is?

Also dank means good when referring to marijuana or anything else, for example, "that [insert something that's awesome] is dank." It's derived from the marijuana usage but is common slang, like saying something is chronic. (ie. That taco was chronic.)

Also, urbandictionary it:
Quote

Formerly used to denote really potent weed, it now means really or awesome

That party was dank!

What the fuck is dank? Never heard it said around here.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.
