Seriously, though, I remember my dad's dog, when she got excited, used to try to imitate my dad. It still sounded like a dog, though (ie, it barked it), but it was really cool nonetheless. This dog, if it isn't fake, actually seems to be using vocal chords, which is surprising and cool.

Haha, that's pretty funny.  And yeah.  I don't think it's fake (I think it'd be too hard to do with a dog, but I guess Letterman isn't live is it?), but it certainly could be.

There's another video on youtube of the same dog on Montel Williams' show (not sure if I spelled his name correctly).  Also, there's a compilation of a bunch of talking dogs, some of which I think are just as good, if not better, than this one.
