Haha, I read this thread, but I still had no idea the movie existed till today. I'm awesome!

Anyway, I heard it existed today, so decided to go see it before the fancy passed.

Overall, it was well done. It was well made and Rob Zombie did a hell of a job directing it. Since this is only his third movie, I'm very impressed with how nice it looks. He's always been a horror movie buff, and you can tell that, at several parts, he was most likely putting his fantasy on the screen. One scene that comes to mind is being trapped in an empty swimming pool, you just know that's probably one of those things that he's been thinking about for years. Another was when MM was breaking up the ceiling. From that angle, it was really awesome. Plus, Zombie doesn't pull any punches in his movies, he'll show the gore in complete detail, and even push it too far sometimes. But I like that, too far is good.

The downside to me is that the part between him going back to the neighbourhood and the end felt long and boring. I really liked the part where he was a kid, and the part when he was in therapy, and the part where he escaped. All that stuff was really cool and interesting. But when it got to the running around killing, it seemed to start dragging.

And something that bugged me: why did the doctor buy a revolver? I mean, sure, it has stopping power, but if you don't kill him on your first 6 shots, you're screwed. There's no reloading if you're being chased. In his position, it makes more sense to buy a gun with more ammo capacity, say a glock (or whatever), and to buy some extra clips. Luckily for him, that didn't become a problem. Also, the professor was pretty stupid to run off on his own to face MM, that's a great way to get killed. He should have waited for at least one cop to come with him.

Overall, though, cool movie. If you love graphic violence and movies about serial killers, you'll probably like this one. If you haven't seen Zombies other movies yet (House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects), go rent them!

I didn't watch the whole thing but the Halloween I saw online when the mother kills herself they don't show her actually blowing her brains out. I was somewhat depressed by that.

I agree with your stance on the random killing though, that's where I stopped watching because it just had no storyline to it in my opinion.

I will get flamed BIG for this, but I'll be damned if MySpace doesn't let you embed music into comments anymore.

r-tard.

Some people have more productive things to do. ;)

Exactly. You have to ask yourself: would you really want to do something that Screenor approves of? :P

Haha, I think he approves of breathing.  Work on that.
lol, owned.

Ironically, I had my first opportunity to smoke yesterday and declined. By "first opportunity" I mean it was the first time I was offered it :P

What exactly were you downloading that you'd get a C&D letter..?

Whatever it was, just enable protocol encryption on your client and you'll be fine.

I never had anyone argue with how many spaces I put after a period (I put one). No one ever specified how many I should have either...

...What? I'm not trying to be "unknown" by my own ISP. Rofl. I just need to change my IP and want to know if there's another way that doesn't involve asking them.

Oh, sorry.  If it's a static address (like truely static -- you usually have to pay more per month to get it) then no, but if it's not, just try unplugging your modem overnight.
Alright, I'll try that, thanks.

I'm on a static IP address

...

Just curious if there's any possible way I can change my IP without having to talk with my ISP

No.
You put it so simply, I hate you.
