Did you commit a crime?

I thought I double posted the thread, so I edited the second to just be "text" --- I was apparently wrong.
rehash (more like "first time post, since the orig is gone"): I'm in a small town. I need to build relationships with community members. What groups have yall found to be decent (I'm asking about chapter-type groups...Lyons Club, Masons, Rotary, etc). Social networking is how business works here.

Honestly, it's not my cup of tea, but the most effective way is through church. Find the biggest, most prominent/ active protestant church in the town and start regularly going to service. If you attend by yourself, you're sure to be noticed since it's a small town, and thus meet people who will know people who will know people. Protestant faiths are more known for their emphasis on "social networking"/ social/ community based practicing of their faith, than let's say Catholics. For example, youth groups in average protestant church tend to be much more active than the average Catholic churches.

my interwebs went nuts and I lost my post.
Church isn't social to me. It is, but I'm not picking church because of business. I wanna know about experiences with Rotary, Lyons, etc.
Also, I wanna help out local Boy Scout troops. I'm an Eagle (highest rank), but it seems weird to join w/o a son in the group....i.e., creeper. Thoughts?

Zero. That's for old people.

Old people have money........ :o Where I live, young people only have money if they deal drugs, guns, or people (and I don't want their business).
