So I jumped into a PUG for Arathi Basin yesterday, and we were getting our asses kicked. On Ventrilo, finally someone just suggests, "Let's just do a 15 man zerg of everything." So we did -- we all got together and charged. It kicked ass. The next game we saw we were playing Blood Legion -- probably *the* best Horde guild on Illidan. We opted just to do the zergging strat.
8 minutes later, they won 2000 to 20. But, we had 44 kills each -- they had 3 total. :D
It kicked ass.

Haha, zerging FTW.
What class/race do you play, Myndy?
-
I'm the raid leader, 95% of the time I play BG. This is what wer do, and its almost always worked (The only time it didn't is when some of us died, they did it to us! :P)

I'm the raid leader ~95% of the time I go to PvE raids (strat, scholo, ubrs, lbrs, zg... soon MC!). I've never had a failed one, either (but they are, of course, more predictable than PvP raids).

What is "Zerging?"

Mindlessly rushing into a seemingly threatening situation with strength in numbers. You basically take a big group of people, run them into a group of enemies that is assumably smaller or less powerful than yours and hope you win. It's fun as hell. :]

It's fun, it works, its not very strategic, but maybe it is. Is running into a battle with no plan other the to overpower a strategy? :-P

Exactly.
There's some very good entries at urban dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=zerg) too.
