Title: Well, that's it...
Post by: iago on January 30, 2006, 01:23:02 am
on Dec. 26 (34 days ago), I started watching Star Trek: DS9.  There are 23 + (26 * 6) episodes (179 of them).  I just finished watching the last one.  179 hours in 34 days.. and I enjoyed every minute of it.  It's my favorite show ever made, and I'm rather upset that I've finished watching it now. :(

179 hours in 34 days =~ 7 hours/day =~21% of the time.  That calculation doesn't seem right, though.

I think that that calculation'd seem right if you also showed us your time spent in school, sleeping, bicke riding, and doing other academic things.

I don't think so, because I often watch it on the bus, at school (on my breaks, never in class), and while doing homework.

Find a way to wipe your brain so you can enjoy watching it again! :)

Weak.

I'm paying a lot of money to go there to learn, and that's exactly what I do while I'm there.

That seems to be the concept that has been eluding the American youth. Although they don't pay directly for school, it comes in the from of taxes. Same concept though.

What you should do now, is watch them backwards looking for hidden meanings.

My school is ten times worse than yours.  While yours may have border hoppers, they hop TO learn and TO become better.  Mine's just full of niggers with their pants down to their knees and teeshirts that go down as if they were dresses and they shout "nigga" and "beatbox" with their mouth while rapping.  I hate public school.

I'd watch them all again with commentary, if there was such thing.  *sigh*

Mine's just full of niggers
And you complain about other people being racist!

they shout "nigga" and "beatbox" with their mouth
With their mouth you say?

Unfortunately, most of them are second generation, so they don't care. :\
We have the black people too.

We have (a) black people (person) too. We call them (him) Louis. I forgot his last name but it's something really awesome and African-like.

We had a couple black people in school here.  But they stayed out of trouble.  The only real race that is a problem here is natives (western Indians), but we didn't have of them in our school :D

If that's what they call themselves, I should have every right to call them that.  I fail to see how black people yelling out "YO MY NIGGA!" across the lunchroom every day and then me saying they're niggers is being racist.  And if it is, so what, I haven't complained about anybody being racist because frankly, I hate the gangsta black people that think they all that.

And by "with their mouth" I meant they yell, ANDDD beatbox with their mouth.  Meaning that they make beats with their mouth. It's really gay and I wish I didn't have to suffer.

How did talking about DS9 get to this point.  Anyways, great acomplishment!  I have my comp recording them during the day so I can get home and watch them.  Them being (TNG & DS9).  Anyways, how did you get them all did you buy the DVDs or something?

I know black people too! They're an interesting species. They stay out of trouble though, because when they're not, we have to punish them  :-\. But it's fun!!

On topic: I'm 65% sure that many Star Trek DVD collections that have DS9 have had commentary.

You see, there's this new-fangled invention called BitTorrent.....

But yeah, I'd  love to buy them, and one day I probably will.

The reason was, I was enjoying watching it on Spike in the mornings, then suddenly for the whole Winter break, they started playing V.I.P. non-stop.  Wtf?

179 hours in 34 days =~ 7 hours/day =~21% of the time. That calculation doesn't seem right, though.

That would be because 179/34 =~ 5 hours/day =~ 22% of the time.

Plus every episode isn't exactly an hour to allow for commercials, probably about 50 minutes.

Normal Television shows are 22minutes long, per half hour. :)

That means 8 minutes of pure profits baby.

Yeah, speaking of commercials...

This week is the first week since Christmas I've watched TV.  I can't believe how much time is wasted on commercials!  Regular TV bugs the heck out of me now just because of commercials.  I'd rather++ read a book, no commercials!
